Experimenting digitally! Trying hard but my illustrations look much better hand rendered.
Sketchbook 'scribbles'
I'm currently 'playing' with paper. I love the simplicity of image yet delicacy of detail that a papercut can give. I'm thinking of doing a series of designs that could translate into greeting cards.

'ACROBAT'
The bare bones for the Illustration Friday project
Whilst creating a costume for my daughter to wear, as part of a school project, my mind wandered to the numerous, often torturous, fancy dress outfits children across the land are forced to wear. From 'dinosaurs' to 'carrots' the possibilities are endless!

Yeay! I am now a bona fide member of the AOI. Lets hope that it brings with it much good luck and a commission or two!

An illustration based on one of Finleys soft toy Giraffes.
I recently got FIRST CLASS HONOURS after doing a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at Coventry University. My dream is to pursue a career within the field of Illustration. I long to spend my days surrounded by pencils, sketching ideas and drinking mugs of tea. I have most recently illustrated two childrens books, one of which I wrote, and whilst doing these I have developed a love affair with all things cut and collaged. Inspiration comes from the likes of Oliver Jeffers, Rob Ryan and my two children. I love spending time in my garden, visiting book shops and all things chocolate!
